About the Role

Saintrose Capital is a technology-driven boutique investment bank. This is a full-time, paid, remote internship built for students and recent graduates seeking hands-on experience on live sell-side mandates. The intern will receive a percentage of the advisory fees generated on the deals they contribute to.

Key Responsibilities

As an M&A Intern, you will support live sell-side mandates alongside the partner in charge of each deal. Your responsibilities span four core areas:

  • Owner intake & qualification: Respond to business owners, call them, qualify them, and book them onto the partner's calendar. You start by supporting origination and can grow into managing it.
  • Deal execution support: Help collect financials and information from the owner, normalize numbers, and build materials: teaser, CIM, management presentation, and data room.
  • Buyer engagement: Call private equity firms, family offices, and strategic acquirers, pitch acquisitions, manage NDAs and data room access, and help set up management meetings.
  • Pipeline & process management: Keep the CRM up to date, prepare process updates for owners, and track every buyer from first call to IOI and LOI.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior internship experience in investment banking, M&A, private equity, business brokerage, corporate development, or transaction advisory is a strong plus.
  • Confident on the phone and comfortable speaking with founders and private equity professionals.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, valuation, and EBITDA.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Genuine interest in the lower middle market and how founder-owned businesses are bought and sold.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage several workstreams at once.
  • Comfortable using AI tools in your daily work.
  • Hungry, commercially minded, and motivated by performance-based compensation.

What You Get

  • A percentage of the advisory fees on every deal you contribute to.
  • Hands-on experience on live sell-side mandates from day one.
  • Direct exposure to founders, private equity firms, family offices and strategic acquirers.
  • A potential path to a full-time Associate role for interns who perform.
  • Remote and flexible work environment.
