Health Safety Environment Officer

About the Role

• Full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
• Responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies across the workplace and project sites.
• Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Track follow-up measures for identified hazards.
• Deliver safety trainings and toolbox talks.
• Maintain incident and accident records.
• Support investigations to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to integrate HSE best practices.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications

• Strong Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills.
• Practical experience in implementing safety programs.
• Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge, including environmental compliance and safe work practices at construction or industrial sites.
• Occupational Health understanding, including risk assessment related to employee health and exposure to workplace hazards.
• NEBOSH or equivalent internationally or nationally recognized HSE certification.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret and apply local HSE regulations and standards.
• Ability to prepare clear reports and documentation.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Ability to influence and engage site personnel at all levels.
• Prior experience as an HSE professional in construction, industrial, or technology-related projects is highly beneficial.
