About the Role
- Health & Safety Intern position with EHS team
- Location: Assumption, Illinois headquarters
- Term: Summer of 2027
- Full-time, paid internship
- Duration: Tentatively Wednesday, May 26th through Friday, July 30th (subject to change)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement written Health and Safety programs
- Assist in ergonomic assessments and improvements
- Conduct regulatory safety and environmental audits
- Review and develop specific training programs
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and other evaluations
- Assist with conducting new employee safety orientation and facility tours
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Enrollment in an environmental, health and safety, or related degree program
- Registered as a full-time student
- Ability to commute to the work location daily
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation to and from the internship location
Qualifications
- Preferably have completed one or more internships and/or have working experience (e.g., part-time job)
