Perl Developer (Perl /Python)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Perl Developer with knowledge of Python to develop, maintain, and enhance applications and automation scripts. The role involves supporting existing applications, automating processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring reliable software performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications and scripts using Perl and Python.
• Write automation scripts for data processing, report generation, and repetitive tasks.
• Analyze and process text files, system logs, and structured data using regular expressions.
• Work in Linux/Unix environments and use shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
• Integrate applications with databases and external systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and reporting.
• Debug code, identify root causes, and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain existing applications and implement bug fixes and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and version control procedures.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Hands-on programming experience in Perl.
• Working knowledge of Python and scripting concepts.
• Understanding of Perl data structures, subroutines, modules, and regular expressions.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Understanding of debugging, troubleshooting, and software development fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.

Good to Have

• Experience with API integration and web services.
• Knowledge of Python libraries for automation and data processing.
• Familiarity with application monitoring, log analysis, and performance optimization.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and software development lifecycle practices.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Information Technology (IT).
• M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE).
• MCA (Master of Computer Applications).
