Industrial Design Intern with PPO

About the Role

The Industrial Design Intern with PPO will support the design and development of waste management and urban sustainability products. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in concept generation for new and existing products.
• Create sketches and digital models.
• Contribute to product design iterations.
• Participate in design thinking workshops.
• Engage in user research and ergonomics studies.
• Perform hands-on prototyping.
• Test functional concepts.
• Document design changes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• Assist with presentations, product demos, and design documentation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Industrial Design
• Product Design
• Concept Generation
• Design Thinking
• Prototyping (building mock-ups, models, and test rigs)
• Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) is beneficial.
• Basic engineering drawing practices are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering with design focus, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work on-site in Bangalore Urban district.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Strong skills in translating user needs into practical and aesthetic solutions.
• Good communication skills.
• Openness to feedback.
• Willingness to learn from hands-on field and workshop activities.
• Interest in sustainability, waste management, and eco-friendly product solutions is strongly preferred.
