About the Role
The Production Merchant is a full-time, on-site role responsible for managing end-to-end production coordination for lifestyle and gift product lines. This role involves liaising with suppliers and internal production teams, tracking orders, and ensuring timely execution from sampling to final shipment. The position requires close collaboration with design, merchandising, and operations teams to align product development with buyer requirements. The role also includes supporting continuous improvement initiatives in production processes and resolving daily operational issues to meet delivery and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Review product specifications.
- Monitor quality checkpoints.
- Maintain documentation related to orders, costing, and production schedules.
- Manage end-to-end production coordination.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal production teams.
- Track orders and ensure timely execution from sampling to final shipment.
- Collaborate with design, merchandising, and operations teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes.
- Resolve daily operational issues to meet delivery and quality targets.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Comfort working with production tracking or ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Strong production coordination and merchandising skills, including order management, vendor communication, and timeline tracking.
- Knowledge of product manufacturing processes, including leather base products.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Capability to handle multiple orders and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising, production management, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or export environments is an advantage.
