Embedded Hardware Engineer

About the Role

Kshatra Labs is engineering the next generation of defense robotics, building high-performance, autonomous systems designed to operate at the absolute edge of physical and computational limits. We are expanding our core team and looking for hardware builders who thrive on solving complex, out-of-the-box engineering problems. As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will build the nervous system of our platforms. You will own the custom PCBs, power distribution, and sensor integration, creating the architecture that safely bridges high-draw propulsion with highly sensitive edge-compute hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Own custom PCBs.
• Own power distribution systems.
• Own sensor integration.
• Create the architecture that bridges high-draw propulsion with highly sensitive edge-compute hardware.
• Hands-on system design and electronics assembly.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Exceptional PCB design and layout experience (Altium, KiCad, or similar) for dense, weight-constrained environments.
• Proven ability to design high-current power distribution systems alongside complex compute modules (e.g., Jetson architectures, FPGAs).
• Strong working knowledge of signal integrity, EMI/EMC shielding, and high-speed communication interfaces.
• Familiarity with embedded C/C++ and low-level microcontroller integration.
• Basic RF circuitry experience.
• Good knowledge of comms hardware.
• Prior experience working with aerial robotics, especially drones.

Qualifications
