Research associate

About the Role

The Research Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

• Support laboratory experiments.
• Formulate and test samples.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate product performance.
• Document experimental methods, results, and conclusions.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations for internal teams and customers.
• Maintain lab equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as technical service and production.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of new and existing formulations.
• Perform literature reviews.
• Benchmark competitor products.
• Support scale-up trials.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Hands-on laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices, quality procedures, and basic analytical techniques and instrumentation.
• Proficiency in common office and data analysis software (e.g., MS Office; basic statistical tools).
• Willingness to learn new tools.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline.
• Ability to design and conduct experiments.
• Ability to analyze data using appropriate methods.
• Ability to interpret results to guide product or process development.
• Strong documentation skills, including accurate record-keeping, technical writing, and preparation of reports or presentations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with technical, production, and commercial teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced research environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
• Prior experience in specialty chemicals, personal care, or related industries is an advantage.
