About the Role
This is a full-time, paid Catastrophe Risk Analyst Intern position within the Actuarial division at Intact Insurance U.S. The internship is located at the Corporate Headquarters in Plymouth, MN. The projected start date is early June 2027, and the internship will last approximately 10-12 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist on various projects related to catastrophe analysis.
- Work with and assist professionals with day-to-day job assignments and special projects.
What You Will Learn
- A solid overview of property-casualty insurance and Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions’ operations.
- Challenging and meaningful work experience and training related to catastrophe modeling, account pricing, and data analysis.
- Develop skills necessary for success in the field.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency with computer software including Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and other data entry and spreadsheet applications and programs.
Qualifications
- Must be working towards a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Risk Management, Programming, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
- Must be graduating in spring of 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical aptitude.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organization skills.
Compensation
- Freshman/Sophomore: $30/hour
- Junior: $33/hour
- Grad: $35/hour
