About the Role
This is a Junior Interior Designer role at Jaipur Rugs, a social enterprise connecting rural craftsmanship with global markets through its luxurious handmade carpets.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend walk-in customers and understand their design and furnishing requirements
- Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences, space planning, and interior aesthetics
- Assist customers in selecting rugs, home décor, furniture, and related products
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and product suggestions when required
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, and interior designers
- Conduct follow-ups with prospective customers and convert inquiries into sales
- Maintain showroom displays and ensure products are presented attractively
- Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, delivery, and customer support
- Stay updated on interior design trends, materials, colors, and market development
- Handle customer queries and provide excellent after-sales support
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong design sensibility and creativity
- Excellent knowledge of space planning and aesthetics
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, V-Ray, 3D Max, or similar design software
- Good understanding of materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to handle client interactions professionally
- Good project coordination and vendor management skills
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and execution excellence
