MySQL DBA

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support MySQL databases across production and non-production environments.
• Manage GCP Cloud SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including provisioning, scaling, high availability, replication, backup, and recovery.
• Lead database migration initiatives from on-premises to cloud platforms using GCP migration services.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for automated database provisioning and management.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
• Support analytics and reporting workloads using BigQuery and related GCP services.
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps, application, and platform teams to deliver reliable database services.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong experience in MySQL Database Administration.
• Hands-on expertise with GCP Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and cloud database operations.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of database migration, replication, backup/recovery, and HA/DR solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL, Linux, and Shell scripting.
• Good understanding of database security, monitoring, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Exposure to PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, ETL tools, and GitHub Copilot.
