About the Role

Career Connect India is seeking exceptional professionals for a founding-team opportunity in Technology Venture Investing. This role will focus on identifying and nurturing India’s next generation of deep-tech innovators. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical or scientific expertise with investment acumen and commercial judgment.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong Technical Foundation: Advanced qualifications (M.Sc./PhD/Postdoctoral research) in engineering, computer science, applied sciences, or related disciplines, preferably from leading / Top Tier institutions.
• Deep-Tech Expertise: Hands-on experience in areas such as semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, spacetech, defence technology, physical AI, quantum technologies, energy transition, or biomedical innovation.
• Technology & R&D Leadership: Experience as a CTO, technical leader, R&D head, or technology entrepreneur, ideally in an early-stage deep-tech venture.
• Investment & Deal Experience: Exposure to early-stage venture capital, technology-focused corporate venture capital, M&A, or corporate development, with a strong understanding of technology-led businesses.
• Technical & Commercial Due Diligence: Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, research differentiation, technology readiness, IP and patents, scalability, regulatory considerations, and commercial potential.
• Innovation Ecosystem Network: Strong connections across IITs, leading universities, research institutions, incubators, accelerators, and the broader deep-tech startup ecosystem.
