About the Role

Help build India’s first commercial scanning electron microscope. Bharat Atomic is developing semiconductor equipment from the ground up, focusing on high-resolution SEMs and electron-beam lithography. This is a 4-month winter internship in Bhopal, to be completed in person. A competitive stipend and accommodation are provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Simulate and test electron beam focusing and steering.
• Conduct experiments, analyze measurements, estimate uncertainty, and validate results against theory.
• Document methods and results.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong fundamentals in electromagnetism, mechanics, and mathematics.
• Experience with a lab or simulation project.
• Data analysis experience in Python or a similar tool.

Qualifications

• Third-year or final-year undergraduate in Physics, Engineering Physics, or a related field (including BS-MS students).
• Experience in a lab or simulation project with data analysis.
• Highlight one proud experiment or simulation in your CV: detail findings, personal contribution, and challenges faced.
