Entry-Level Structural Engineer

About the Role

OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join our offices in Atlanta & Houston. This role is responsible for project performance and profit.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team.
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
• Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design.
• Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers.
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction.
• Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy.
• Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with construction teams.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 0-1 years of structural engineering internship or co-op experience.
• Revit experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages is preferred.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
