About Vercel
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. Vercel gives developers the tools and cloud infrastructure to build, scale, and secure a faster, more personalized web.
About the Role
As a Technical Business Development Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for companies that submit inbound leads. You will qualify them with personalized outreach to engineering and product leaders and work closely with Account Executives to turn those conversations into pipeline in the commercial segment. In your first 6 to 12 months, you'll learn the SaaS sales cycle directly from sales and product leaders and build the foundation for a career in go-to-market. This is a hybrid role with 3 in-office days per week in San Francisco, New York City, or Austin.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound leads as the first point of contact and qualify them through personalized outreach.
- Research prospects and tailor outreach to engineering and product leaders.
- Partner with Account Executives to build pipeline and drive adoption in the commercial segment.
- Work with GTM Engineering to improve our inbound agent project.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to refine messaging and improve outreach effectiveness.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Working knowledge of web development and current web technologies.
- Can explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Can manage your own prospect pipeline independently while working with cross-functional teams.
Bonus If You Have
- Background in computer science, web development, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with Vercel, Next.js, or another modern web framework.
- Prior sales experience, including Salesforce, Outreach, or similar tools.
