About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our team in Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, specifically in HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) coding and MRA (Medical Risk Adjustment). As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate coding of medical records, which is essential for proper billing and reimbursement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, including HCC coding standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices and changes in regulations.
- Assist in audits and quality assurance processes to ensure coding accuracy.
- Provide training and support to junior coders as needed.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in medical coding, particularly HCC and MRA coding.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with coding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
