About the Role
The Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (FZU) is seeking a colleague for the Library Department for the position of Specialista/Specialistka Open Access.
Key Responsibilities
- Support researchers in publishing scientific results in Open Access.
- Active communication with scientific staff and publishers in Czech and English.
- Control and coordination of the fulfillment of Open Access obligations for individual projects.
- Administration of tokens within transformative agreements.
- Monitoring the development of national and European policy, new trends, and their application in Open Access.
- Preparation of materials and creation of statistics on Open Access publications and publishing expenditures.
- Searching the academic database ASEP and other citation databases.
- Determining publisher license conditions for making scientific articles accessible.
- Presenting Open Access services for early-career scientists.
- Regular updating and proposing changes to the FZU Open Access website content.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- University education with a library focus is an advantage, also suitable for recent graduates.
- Knowledge of MS Office programs.
- Knowledge of working with information resources.
- Active knowledge of the English language at a minimum of B2 level.
- Systematic and analytical thinking.
- Good communication skills.
