About the Role
This is a temporary, full-time position for a Traffic & Planning Intern at HDR, working within the Transportation Business Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying standard engineering techniques and procedures in the areas of traffic planning, analysis and design.
- Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a more senior-level Engineers and Planners to assist with identifying existing and future transportation needs, conducting traffic operational and safety assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and supporting traffic design.
- Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA.
- Attention to detail.
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
- Preference given to local candidates.
