About the Role

The Gear Shop Incharge is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the gear manufacturing and processing area. This full-time, on-site role is based in Gurugram.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling jobs
• Allocating tasks to team members
• Ensuring machines, tools, and materials are available and properly used
• Monitoring production targets
• Maintaining quality standards
• Coordinating with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
• Maintaining safety and housekeeping standards
• Updating production records
• Reporting performance and issues to management
• Training and guiding shop-floor staff
• Implementing process improvements
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of gear manufacturing processes, machine operations, and tooling relevant to gear production.
• Experience in production planning, workflow scheduling, and monitoring output against targets in a shop-floor environment.
• Ability to oversee quality checks, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Skills in team supervision, task allocation, and performance monitoring, with a focus on safety and discipline.
• Proficiency in maintaining production documentation, basic reporting, and using shop-floor records or ERP systems.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
• Prior experience in a gear shop or precision machining unit, ideally in a supervisory or incharge role.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and readiness to work on-site in Gurugram on a full-time basis.
