About the Role

Scholar Planet is seeking a technically curious, detail-oriented, and proactive intern to assist in accelerating AI integration and supporting data protection, cybersecurity compliance, audit preparation, and EdTech product certification activities. The intern will work closely with the technical team to support AI backend development, API integrations, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, quality testing, and technical documentation. The role will also involve research, documentation, and coordination related to DPDP compliance, ISO standards, cybersecurity practices, and educational app certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities

AI Integration & Technical Development

• Assist with Python backend development and API integrations.
• Support the development, testing, and maintenance of RAG pipelines.
• Test AI functionality, investigate technical issues, and document changes.
• Assist in integrating AI capabilities into Scholar Planet's EdTech platform.
• Coordinate with the technical team to identify and resolve integration-related issues.

AI Quality & Security Testing

• Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, and source grounding.
• Test how the AI system handles unsupported questions and potentially incorrect responses.
• Assist in testing authentication mechanisms and access controls.
• Support testing of sensitive-data handling and basic security practices.
• Document testing outcomes, identified issues, and suggested improvements.

DPDP Compliance & Data Protection Support

• Prepare and maintain data inventories and data-flow documentation.
• Assist in documenting privacy notices, consent, and parental-consent processes.
• Support documentation of data retention, deletion, and data-sharing practices.
• Research applicable requirements under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework.
• Identify and track compliance gaps under the guidance of designated specialists.

ISO Documentation & Audit Preparation

• Assist in maintaining policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of asset registers and risk registers.
• Organize control evidence, audit records, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate activities related to audit preparation for the agreed ISO scope.
• Track audit observations, corrective actions, and their closure status.

Educational App Store & Product Certification

• Research educational app store submission and certification requirements.
• Support product review and certification applications.
• Assist in preparing product descriptions, educational evidence, and privacy documentation.
• Coordinate the collection of required technical and product-related information.
• Track application progress and assist in responding to reviewer feedback.

Coordination, Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain a shared tracker of assigned tasks, evidence, responsible owners, and deadlines.
• Coordinate with technical, legal, security, education, and audit specialists.
• Maintain organized records of project documentation and implementation progress.
• Identify pending tasks, compliance gaps, and outstanding issues.
• Provide regular progress updates to the reporting supervisor.

Requirements & Tech Stack

Key Skills Required

• Practical knowledge of Python, REST APIs, JSON, and SQL.
• Understanding of Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), supported by coursework or a personal project.
• Basic awareness of cybersecurity, authentication, access control, and personal-data protection.
• Strong research, analytical, and technical writing skills.
• Good documentation and organizational abilities.
• Ability to investigate technical issues and follow through on assigned tasks.
• Willingness to learn, deep-dive into unfamiliar areas, and work under technical supervision.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, AI/Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
• Candidates with exposure to FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Google ADK/Gemini, API testing, or RAG evaluation will be preferred.
• Coursework or project experience in information security, data protection, or regulatory compliance will be an advantage.
• Candidates interested in AI integration, cybersecurity, privacy compliance, and EdTech product development are encouraged to apply.
