Editorial Intern

About the Role

• This is an unpaid remote internship for college students or recent graduates.
• Position duration: 12 months.
• Hours: Approximately 20-25 hours per week.
• Virtual meetings: 1-3 hours dedicated, 5 times a week, around 12 PM - 3 PM PST.
• Applicants must be located in the US.

Key Responsibilities

• Researching, writing, editing, and drafting business emails to movie studios, editors, and agents on behalf of the author.
• Managing the author's travel schedule.
• Organizing publicity photos.
• Updating the author's social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter).
• Processing financial statements, tracking payments, and preparing invoices.
• Supporting manuscripts in various stages of development.
• Staying current with publishing trends, industry changes, and entertainment.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Gmail
• Google Drive
• Microsoft Word
• PowerPoint
• Adobe Products (Photoshop, Premiere, or similar)
• Canva or other graphic design products
• Various social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter) and mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be in college or recent graduates. Juniors and Seniors are preferred.
• Applicants must be located in the US.
• Mastery of Gmail, Google Drive, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient with Adobe Products such as Photoshop, Premiere, or other similar apps.
• Proficient with Canva or other graphic design products.
• Proficient with various social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter) and mobile devices (smartphones, tablets).
• Excellent memory and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Top-notch organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Adaptive and flexible personality with a can-do attitude.
• Must be self-directed and independent.
• Able to anticipate needs and deliver timely, relevant solutions and actions.
• Extremely detail-oriented.

Compensation

• Unpaid internship for up to 12 months.
• College credit is available.
