About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Safety Professional role based in Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workplace safety activities.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct routine safety inspections.
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Support implementation of safety programs.
- Deliver safety training sessions.
- Maintain safety documentation and incident records.
- Collaborate with operations teams to reduce risk and improve safety standards.
- Participate in accident investigations.
- Assist in root cause analysis.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the overall EHS framework.
Qualifications
- Skills in Health & Safety and Occupational Health for industrial and manufacturing environments.
- Skills in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) for regulatory compliance and sustainable practices.
- Skills in Safety Training for developing and delivering safety awareness programs.
- Skills in Accident Investigation for incident analysis, reporting, and corrective action planning.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Safety, EHS, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of local and national safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence a safety-first culture.
Experience (Advantageous)
- Experience in steel, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments.
