About the Role

A full-time, on-site position supporting senior chartering managers in identifying suitable vessels, negotiating freight rates, and assisting in the preparation and review of charter party agreements. The role involves monitoring commodity markets and maritime trends, compiling market reports, and maintaining accurate records of fixtures and ongoing voyages.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior chartering managers in identifying suitable vessels.

• Coordinate with ship owners, brokers, and clients.
• Track vessel positions.
• Optimize cargo allocation and routing.
• Collaborate with operations and documentation teams to ensure smooth execution of charter contracts.
• Facilitate timely resolution of operational issues.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Trading and Commodity Markets, with the ability to analyze market data and support commercial decisions.
• Knowledge of Freight and Maritime operations, including basic understanding of vessel types, routes, and chartering terms.
• Awareness of International Business practices and regulations related to global trade and shipping.
• Good numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Comfort with using industry platforms or market information tools.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to fast-paced market conditions, and build a career in chartering and maritime logistics.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, International Business, Commerce, or a related field.
