Communications & Marketing Intern (Summer 2027)

About the Role

Axiom Space is seeking a passionate, high-energy Communications & Marketing Intern for Summer 2027. This temporary, project-based role supports the development and delivery of content to communicate Axiom Space's story to various audiences. The internship is onsite in Houston, Texas, from June 1 to August 20.

Key Responsibilities

• Support social media strategy by drafting platform-specific content, tracking engagement metrics, and recommending improvements.
• Draft supporting materials including one-pagers, fact sheets, presentation text, video scripts, and speaker talking points.
• Write, edit, and format employee newsletters, intranet updates, and leadership announcements.
• Track news coverage, industry trends, and competitor activity, and pitch content ideas based on trending topics.
• Provide support in telling the Axiom Space story in digital and video formats.
• Revise copy, images, and links across the company website, social profiles, and other digital platforms to keep information accurate, current, and on-brand.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• This position may require access to export controlled technical data or technology subject to NASA regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones.

Qualifications

• Rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Prior internship, co-op, or hands-on project experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).
• May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
• Standard office equipment (PC, phone, printer, etc.).
