About the Role

The R2P Trainee Specialist supports the Accounts Payable process of assigned businesses ensuring quality, timeliness and effectiveness. This role will be required to work in multiple shift timings (including night shift).

Key Responsibilities

• Supports transitions and knowledge transfer.
• Provides services at expected levels with a clear customer service focus and escalates exceptions.
• Corresponds to internal and external inquiries.
• Manages day-to-day activities related to Accounts Payable, including:
• Processing of PO and non-PO invoices, Credit Notes, and Down Payments.
• Timely resolution of invoices with price and quantity deviations and follow-ups, including debit balances.
• Ensuring controls are in place and supports Payment Proposal reviews.
• Oversight of Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt and timely clearing.
• Attending and resolving supplier inquiries via emails and calls.
• Ensures all processes, policies, and procedures are clearly defined and fully documented.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum: University degree, preferably Bachelor of Accounting / Commerce.
• Experience: Preferable - 0-1 years of relevant experience with an outsourcing or financial service organization. Experience supporting shared service functions is desirable.
• Languages: Minimum: English (written and spoken).
• Specific Professional Competencies:
• Ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Positive attitude with a focus on continuous process improvement.
• SOX knowledge and clarity about accounting internal controls/audit.
• Excellent MS Office skills.
• SAP knowledge is an added advantage.
