About the Role

The Creators Index is looking for a Writer & Researcher to join our team in Mumbai. This role is for someone who enjoys going beyond the headline, critically analyzing creator-economy stories to uncover their underlying significance, key players, and valuable narratives. You will focus on the business aspects of India's creator economy, encompassing creator monetization, brand deals, platform economics, talent agencies, influencer marketing, and the evolving landscape of creator businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and write 10–15 SEO-led articles per month.
• Transform search opportunities into substantive editorial stories, avoiding keyword-stuffed content.
• Conduct research on creators, brands, agencies, platforms, and industry developments.
• Engage in interviews with relevant individuals when necessary.
• Collaborate with editorial and SEO teams on the content calendar.
• Fact-check reports, claims, statistics, and industry information.
• Identify and utilize credible primary sources, reports, and platform documentation.
• Explain creator-economy developments in a clear and useful manner for creators and industry professionals.
• Monitor changes in monetization, platforms, partnerships, and creator businesses.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to conduct deep research and write clearly.
• Understanding of the difference between repeating information and genuine comprehension.
• Proficiency in research, interviews, analyzing numbers and reports, SEO, and editorial writing.
• A strong interest in the creator economy, digital media, marketing, or internet businesses.
• Ability to use AI for efficient research and document processing, but critical thinking and an independent writing voice are paramount.
