About the Role
The Lighting Designer will work on-site in Mumbai in a full-time capacity. This role involves collaborating with architects, interior designers, and project managers to develop integrated lighting concepts for residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating lighting layouts.
- Selecting fixtures.
- Specifying lighting levels.
- Preparing detailed drawings and documentation.
- Coordinating with suppliers and contractors.
- Reviewing shop drawings.
- Ensuring installations align with design intent, safety standards, and energy-efficiency requirements.
- Participating in client meetings.
- Presenting design proposals.
- Refining solutions based on feedback.
- Maintaining project timelines.
- Supporting site visits.
- Contributing to design standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Skills in Lighting Design, Architectural Lighting, and general Lighting concepts.
- Skills in Lighting Control systems and integration with architectural and interior design solutions.
- Skills in Interior Design, with the ability to coordinate lighting with spatial layouts and material palettes.
- Proficiency in design and documentation tools (such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Relux, or similar lighting software) is beneficial.
- Strong visual, technical, and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret architectural drawings and create detailed lighting documentation.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and interact professionally with clients and vendors.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to safety, energy efficiency, and design quality.
