About the Role

GameGenesis is seeking a creative Video Editor Intern to transform raw footage into engaging visual stories. You will help shape how our games and brand are experienced by audiences through editing game trailers, promotional videos, social media reels, and behind-the-scenes content. This role is for individuals passionate about editing, storytelling, gaming, and visual content.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit engaging videos for social media, marketing campaigns, and game promotions.
• Create game trailers, gameplay videos, reels, announcements, and promotional content.
• Add transitions, subtitles, sound effects, music, and motion graphics.
• Perform basic color correction and audio enhancement.
• Adapt videos into different formats and aspect ratios for various platforms.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, developers, and artists.
• Review feedback and refine edits.
• Keep up with current video editing and social media content trends.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
• Understanding of video pacing, composition, storytelling, and visual flow.
• Basic knowledge of color correction and audio editing.
• An eye for detail and strong creative instincts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Passion for gaming, filmmaking, and digital content.
• Comfort receiving feedback and making revisions.

It'll Be Awesome If You Also Have

• Experience with Adobe After Effects and motion graphics.
• Knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator for thumbnails and visual assets.
• Experience editing gaming content, trailers, or gameplay videos.
• Familiarity with YouTube, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts formats.
• Understanding of basic VFX and compositing.
• A portfolio or showreel demonstrating your editing skills.
