About the Role
- Full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.
- Responsible for developing and reviewing electrical and instrumentation design documents.
- Involves regular interaction with project stakeholders and occasional site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical and instrumentation design documents, including layouts, schematics, cable schedules, and panel drawings.
- Prepare specifications.
- Size and select equipment and instruments.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design compliance with standards and client requirements.
- Resolve design issues.
- Support troubleshooting during project execution.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in design tools and software commonly used for electrical and instrumentation engineering (e.g., AutoCAD or similar).
- Familiarity with PLC based process automation, SCADA, I/O list preparation, and quality procedures in engineering projects.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering.
- Hands-on expertise in Instrumentation and Process Control for industrial projects or similar environments.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for electrical MCC panels and instrumentation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and standards accurately.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
- Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, or similar sectors is an advantage.
