About the Role
This remote Fashion Design Intern role offers hands-on experience in developing apparel concepts for corporate and school uniforms. This is an internship position designed to build practical skills and industry exposure in a supportive, learning-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in designing collections.
- Creating technical sketches.
- Preparing design boards and digital mockups.
- Supporting fabric and trim selection.
- Helping with color and style coordination.
- Collaborating with the design team on refining garment details.
- Researching trends relevant to uniforms.
- Organizing design files.
- Contributing creative ideas that align with Urban Clothing ®️’s brand standards.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Graphic Design skills for creating digital sketches, mood boards, and visual presentations using relevant design software.
- Comfort working in a remote setting, with reliable access to design tools/software and effective time management skills.
Qualifications
- Foundational skills in Fashion Design and Fashion Styling, with the ability to translate concepts into wearable uniform pieces.
- Knowledge of Textiles and basic Sewing techniques to understand fabric behavior, garment construction, and quality standards.
- Currently studying or recently completed a program in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to follow brand guidelines and technical specifications.
- Interest in corporate and school wear, with a willingness to learn about uniform-specific design requirements.
