About the Role
- Full-time Medical Assistant position (Monday - Friday, days)
- No nights, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays
- Focus on providing clinical expertise for high-quality, efficient patient care
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking patient histories and vital signs
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Perform sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Administer injections
- Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
- Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals
- Answer telephone calls and screen for referrals
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Medical Assisting program (Graduation from an accredited program)
- Twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials are highly preferred
- No travel required
Qualifications
- Candidates with one year of medical work experience without Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Certification within one year of hire date.
- Medical Assistants who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.
