About the Role
- This is a full-time, on-site BIM Intern role based in Chennai.
- The intern will support instructors and project teams by preparing and updating BIM models for MEP and architectural elements.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and updating BIM models for MEP and architectural elements using tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and related software.
- Assisting in developing coordinated drawings.
- Extracting quantities.
- Organizing project documentation.
- Maintaining model accuracy under guidance.
- Participating in training sessions, workshops, and live project simulations.
- Collaborating with peers and mentors.
- Responding to feedback.
- Contributing to a professional, learning-focused environment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Familiarity with Revit (Architecture/MEP) and AutoCAD.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge or coursework in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering disciplines, preferably with exposure to building services.
- Basic familiarity with BIM concepts.
- Willingness to learn advanced features of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical systems, or readiness to learn quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Commitment to model accuracy and coordination.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a structured, instructor-led environment.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback.
- Recent graduates or final-year students in engineering or architecture programs.
- Prior internship or project experience in building services is an advantage.
- Demonstrated motivation to build a career in BIM MEP.
- Openness to continuous learning and professional development.
