The Junior Interior Designer internship is a hybrid position based in Mumbai, involving on-site and remote tasks. Interns will support senior designers in developing interior concepts, preparing mood boards, and assisting with space planning for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting senior designers in developing interior concepts.
• Preparing mood boards.
• Assisting with space planning for residential and commercial projects.
• Helping produce construction drawings.
• Updating layouts.
• Coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selections.
• Maintaining project documentation.
• Conducting site visits to understand on-ground conditions.
• Assisting in vendor and material coordination.
• Participating in team discussions to refine design solutions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to work with core interior design concepts, including Interior Design and Space Planning.
• Foundational understanding of Architecture and its relationship to interior design solutions.
• Skills in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings and technical layouts.
• Competence in FF&E selection, documentation, and coordination.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Illustrator, or InDesign).

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under guidance.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to collaborate with design teams, vendors, and clients.
• Comfort working in a hybrid setup.
• Availability for site visits and office days in Mumbai as required.
