Construction Assistant Field Manager 2026

About the Role

Brasfield & Gorrie has exciting opportunities in multiple locations for upcoming or recent graduates interested in full-time employment in the construction industry as an Assistant Field Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent in administrative, compliance, procurement, building, and reporting responsibilities, as assigned.
• Reviews and interprets shop drawings.
• Reviews submittals and expedites materials.
• Monitors production rates and schedules.
• Supervises subcontractors and monitors work performance, progress, and productivity.
• Supports and/or supervises work crews from excavation through punch list.
• Follows company policies and procedures and assists with OSHA compliance and on-site safety enforcement.
• Assists with reporting obligations.

Qualifications

• Must be an upcoming or recent graduate of an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Alternatively, a satisfactory combination of relevant military training and/or experience in construction-related fields will be considered.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must be able to work in either Charlotte, NC or Winston-Salem, NC.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Superior organizational skills.
