React JS Intern

About the Role

• Motivated React Developer Intern to join the frontend team.
• Help build responsive, real-time web applications.
• Work closely with senior developers and designers.
• Hands-on role to ship real features and learn how production apps are built and maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reusable React components and UI features.
• Implement real-time functionality (live updates, notifications, chat) using WebSockets.
• Integrate frontend screens with REST APIs using TanStack Query for data fetching, caching, and syncing server state.
• Manage application state across components.
• Debug issues, fix bugs, and improve performance.
• Participate in code reviews and team stand-ups.
• Write clean, readable, and well-documented code.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS.
• Good knowledge of React fundamentals: functional components, JSX, props and state, and component lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with core hooks: useState, useEffect, useContext, useRef, and useMemo/useCallback.
• Familiarity with React Router for navigation.
• Basic understanding of WebSockets: how they differ from HTTP, opening and closing connections, sending and receiving messages, and handling reconnection.
• Experience fetching data from APIs (fetch or Axios) and handling loading/error states.
• Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub.
• Eagerness to learn and take feedback.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with TanStack Query (React Query): useQuery and useMutation, query keys, caching and invalidation, and handling loading/error states.
• Exposure to a state management library (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar).
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or a component library (MUI, shadcn/ui).
• Basic knowledge of Node.js/Express.
