Staff Nurse

About the Role

The Staff Nurse role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kothamangalam, Kerala, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in patient assessment, care planning, and discharge processes.
• Contribute to a supportive and respectful environment for patients and colleagues.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Current nursing registration/license with the appropriate nursing council.
• Completion of a recognized nursing program (GNM, pcB.Sc Nursing).
• Demonstrated clinical skills in basic nursing care, medication administration, patient monitoring, and infection control practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Capacity to work effectively in fast-paced clinical settings.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.
• Respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Adherence to hospital policies and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
