Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer I

About the Role

Ardurra is seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer I to join our team in the St. Augustine, FL location. This position will involve planning, designing, construction administration, and potentially managing aspects of multidiscipline projects for municipal clients in the Southeast region, focusing on water/wastewater treatment and collection/distribution systems. The role offers exposure to a full range of water and wastewater facility projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares plan details and outlines, identifies quantities of materials, cost estimates, and performs calculations for specific project segments.
• Assists in the preparation of technical specifications.
• Evaluates vendor bids and drawings for compliance with specifications.
• Reviews and approves design drawings within defined limits.
• Prepares technical reports or sections of larger reports.
• Performs field tests and measurements, and collects field data.
• Provides assistance and support to a proposal team or proposal manager.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited program (or equivalent working knowledge/experience or Masters degree in Engineering).
• Limited experience in utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment.

Project Experience

Projects may include:

• Water/wastewater treatment facility greenfield projects.
• Upgrade and expansion projects.
• Process upgrades or rehabilitation projects.
• Water distribution and storage systems.
• Transmission pipelines.
• Wastewater collection systems.
• Pump stations.
• Other water utility related projects.
