IDC
About the Role
IDC is seeking a Partner Operations & AI Automation Intern to join its Partnerships team. This role offers direct visibility to the SVP of Product & Strategy and the office of the CEO. The intern will design and build agentic workflows to automate partner qualification, development, pipeline tracking, and intelligence gathering, utilizing Claude and other third-party AI tools. This is a hands-on build role with the opportunity to demonstrate the impact of AI-driven automation within IDC's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic workflows using Claude and other third-party AI tools to automate partner operations and pipeline management, including CRM hygiene, status tracking, and reporting.
- Build automated partner intelligence workflows to monitor and aggregate partner signals, competitive moves, and market data relevant to IDC's P1 partners.
- Support the automation of partnership qualification, including a rules-based triage/scoring layer for inbound partner opportunities.
- Support the automation of partnership development workflows that are judgment-light and repeatable, such as document assembly, follow-up sequencing, and status reporting.
- Build and test AI-enabled tools, and prototype lightweight automations and dashboards, to save the team time on research, reporting, drafting, and data analysis.
- Support day-to-day partner operations, including tracking partner programs, deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder follow-ups.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and prioritizing partnership use cases as new opportunities emerge.
- Prepare briefing materials, summaries, and analysis for leadership.
- Document all built workflows, including logic, data sources, and handoff runbooks, to ensure longevity and reusability.
- Partner with Directors of Strategic Partner Development and Partner GTM/Activation to identify and prioritize high-leverage manual tasks for automation and contribute to partnership initiatives.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Demonstrated, hands-on AI proficiency: experience building agentic workflows or automations through personal, academic, or professional projects. This includes experience with LLMs with tool use, prompt design, API integrations, or no-code/low-code platforms.
- Comfort with Python, SQL, or similar scripting, or a strong aptitude to learn quickly.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including deck creation (PowerPoint) and the ability to synthesize information clearly for senior audiences.
- Strong written communication and documentation habits.
- A scrappy, flexible, startup-style approach: self-directed, organized, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Comfortable working across several stakeholders in a small team with executive visibility.
- Interest in technology markets, partnerships, or business strategy.
