About the Role
The Chartered Accountant Article Assistant internship role at NRG Associates is an on-site position located in Chennai and Bangalore. This role is designed to provide hands-on training aligned with professional course requirements and offer practical exposure to client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day accounting activities, including preparation and review of accounting entries.
- Assist in bookkeeping.
- Maintain ledgers and records.
- Assist in the audit of books of accounts, including statutory and internal audits.
- Help in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
- Support audit and tax assignments.
- Work with accounting software to process transactions and generate reports.
- Prepare working papers, documentation, and basic financial schedules under supervision.
- Learn professional standards and best practices.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Accounting and Finance, with a clear understanding of core accounting principles.
- Skills in Bookkeeping and the preparation and review of Financial Statements.
- Ability to work with Accounting Software and other relevant office tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Enrollment in a Chartered Accountancy course and eligibility for articleship as per regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chennai Area and collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.
