About the Role
This is an internship role for a Chartered Accountant Article Assistant based on-site in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
- Support auditing assignments.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Help maintain statutory records.
- Work with accounting software.
- Perform posting and reconciling entries.
- Engage in bookkeeping.
- Support tax and compliance-related tasks under guidance.
- Coordinate with clients for data collection, documentation, and clarifications.
- Adhere to professional standards and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in CA course (IPCC/Intermediate cleared or as per current scheme) and eligibility for articleship training.
- Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance.
- Ability to prepare, review, and understand Financial Statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements).
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with Accounting Software and basic Bookkeeping processes.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and manage timelines.
- Willingness to learn, maintain professional ethics, and handle confidential information responsibly.
