IT Analyst Applications - File Transfer Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Analyst Applications - File Transfer Administrator to support and maintain enterprise file transfer solutions, primarily leveraging IBM MQ and Managed File Transfer (MFT) technologies. This role involves reactive support (incident tickets, troubleshooting) and proactive customer engagement to ensure reliable and secure data movement globally. The administrator will collaborate with support teams in the US and India to deliver resolutions, improve service reliability, and maintain platform stability with ownership, urgency, and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise file transfer platforms, primarily IBM MQ / Managed File Transfer (MFT).
• Respond to and resolve support tickets, ensuring clear communication and adherence to SLAs.
• Establish and configure new file transfers, including onboarding new customers and use cases.
• Troubleshoot file transfer failures, connectivity issues, and performance problems.
• Proactively engage customers to identify issues, validate connectivity, and improve service reliability.
• Collaborate with global support teams (US and India) to manage incidents and coordinate resolutions.
• Work with vendors to support issue resolution, system upgrades, patching, and ongoing platform maintenance.
• Support project-based initiatives with defined deliverables and timelines.
• Perform routine system administration tasks including monitoring, health checks, and maintenance.
• Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Support additional file transfer technologies as needed, developing end-to-end administrative capability (e.g., GoAnywhere).

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience with IBM MQ Managed File Transfer (MFT).
• Experience with secure file transfer protocols such as SFTP and FTPS.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills.
• Experience working in a global support model with cross-region collaboration.
• Exposure to IBM integration technologies such as App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or DataPower (nice to have).

Qualifications

• Core Application Systems: Working knowledge of major production application systems.
• Problem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
• Application Design, Architecture: Extensive experience in application design and architecture principles and practices.
• Implementation: Working knowledge of how to run applications for organizations and provide end-user support.
• Requirements Analysis: Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques for eliciting, analyzing, and recording required business functionality.
• System and Technology Integration: Working knowledge of system features and facilities, and the ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases, and technology platforms.
• System Testing: Working knowledge of system and software testing, including designing, planning, and executing system testing strategies.
