About the Role
We are building a cutting-edge technology platform and are looking for a highly motivated Back End Software Engineer to join our fast-growing digital health engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, startup environments and is eager to take on increasing leadership responsibilities. You will play a central role in architecting, developing, and scaling cloud-based software solutions, while collaborating closely with our Head of Engineering to define and execute product roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software solutions aligned with business and user needs.
- Architect and implement cloud-native systems using AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, Bedrock, etc.).
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in multiple programming languages, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure high standards of quality, security, and maintainability.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure applications are intuitive, performant, and visually consistent.
- Support the Head of Engineering in defining and executing feature development timelines and technical priorities.
- Assist in creating and updating technical documentation to streamline client onboarding and system maintenance.
- You're open to exploring AI-centric solutions to problems and willing to experiment with new approaches that leverage AI capabilities.

- Backend project development and deployment experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of professional experience in software engineering or a similar role.
- Foundational knowledge of full-stack engineering principles and system design.
- Strong proficiency in Python and MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (including EC2).
- Problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Responsiveness and accountability in a fast-moving environment.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying backend projects.
