About the Role
ITV Digital is seeking a Trainee Producer for NewsX to join their digital media team. The role involves working in a dynamic newsroom environment focused on delivering timely, reliable, and engaging content.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and edit short video clips (chunks) from long-form news/content videos for YouTube.
- Identify important, engaging, and relevant portions of videos for clipping.
- Ensure chunks have a clear flow, context, and are suitable for digital audiences.
- Add basic elements such as titles, captions, or text overlays.
- Coordinate with the Producer/Editorial team to understand content requirements and deadlines.
- Ensure all edited clips are accurate, properly formatted, and ready for publishing on digital platforms.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Hands-on experience in video editing.
- Basic understanding of YouTube and digital video content.
- Ability to identify newsworthy and engaging moments from longer videos.
- Basic video editing skills; familiarity with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
- Good understanding of video flow, timing, and storytelling.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a night shift.
Qualifications
- 3–8 months of experience in video chunking, content editing, digital media, or a similar role.
- Freshers with relevant knowledge/experience in video editing or digital content may also apply.
