Apprentice, Backend Developer

About the Role

Accedo is looking for talented backend developers to join its growing Engineering team in Noida as an apprentice. You will be part of a diverse and multi-disciplined development team, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and the opportunity to work with some of the largest global media brands in the industry. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will help transform requirements and designs into high-performing, feature-rich video streaming applications on a wide variety of platforms and devices.

The primary focus of the role will be building and maintaining backend services and APIs using technologies like Node.js, Nestjs, and TypeScript. You will work on projects from technical feasibility through to market launch, ensuring high performance and scalability for OTT applications.

Qualifications

• Completed engineering degree (BTech/BE) in a relevant field or passed out from a coding school after graduation.
• Significant development community participation.
• Self-motivated and solution-focused.

Experience & Skills

• 0-1 years of experience or strong academic projects involving Node.js / NestJs and other backend development technologies.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Fundamental knowledge of Node.js.
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles.

Nice to Haves

• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Exposure to other backend languages like Go or Python and frameworks like NestJs.
• Experience in development, deployment & maintenance of backend services in micro-service architecture.
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and microservices.
• Experience in ElasticSearch and Kibana.
• Experience in at least one of the cloud service providers (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Experience in using Docker.
• Experience in Kubernetes.
• Previous experience building end-user-facing products with scale.
• Hands-on experience with RAG and using AI agents.
