About Evalvia AI
Evalvia is building AI to read and evaluate handwritten Maths & Science answers, providing feedback similar to a teacher's marking. Teachers across India are already using Evalvia.
Who you'll work with
- Directly with the founders.
- Manasvi Prakash — technical co-founder, Data Engineer at McKinsey.
- Arvind — founder, with IIM background, previously built products used by 100,000+ students.
- Mentors who are CBSE examiners with 25+ years of board-marking experience.
What you'll do
- Build and ship features across the stack — frontend and backend.
- Work hands-on with LLMs and vision models (Gemini, Qwen) that read handwriting and grade answers.
- Improve our OCR and evaluation pipeline — accuracy, speed, and cost.
- Help move our AI feedback from generic to genuinely teacher-grade.
- Build and run benchmarks on real answer sheets.
What we're looking for
- Comfortable with Python and modern web development (React/Node or similar).
- Curious about AI/LLM APIs.
- Bonus if you've touched vision models, OCR, or prompt engineering.
- Must be able to:
- Think for yourself.
- Spot problems before being told.
- Ask "why."
- Take ownership instead of waiting for instructions.
