AVAI is an early-stage EdTech startup building an intelligence layer for schools. They connect assessments, learning gaps, academic planning, and student opportunities. Their product is currently being tested with CBSE schools in Tamil Nadu.
About the Role
Software Development Intern | Bengaluru (On-site) | 6 Months | ₹15,000/month
Key Responsibilities
- Build features for teachers and school leaders.
- Work with AI, OCR, LLM APIs, and document-processing pipelines.
- Transform academic data into meaningful insights.
- Build APIs, dashboards, and end-to-end product workflows.
- Debug issues, improve performance, and optimize for speed and cost.
- Collaborate directly with founders from problem discussion to solution deployment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Python (FastAPI)
- Next.js/TypeScript
- Postgres
- AWS
- LLM/vision APIs
Qualifications
- Ability to code in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Understanding of full-stack development, APIs, and databases.
- Experience building projects beyond college assignments, including personal projects.
- Curiosity about AI and its application in problem-solving.
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially with student data where accuracy is critical.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving without requiring perfectly written instructions.
- Focus on understanding the 'why' behind development, not just the 'how'.
Recent graduates, or students available full-time for 6 months.
