Mechanical Design Intern

About the Role

Boatload Minds is an innovative hardware technology company focused on beverage solutions. As a Mechanical Design Intern, you will support the engineering team in designing and developing hardware components for beverage dispensing systems. This is an on-site internship role in Coimbatore North.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with creating 2D and 3D models.
• Prepare engineering drawings.
• Contribute to concept development and prototyping activities.
• Help in conducting basic design calculations.
• Perform fit and tolerance checks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product designs based on testing and user feedback.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Foundational mechanical design skills, including experience or coursework in CAD modeling and engineering drawing preparation.
• Basic understanding of mechanical components, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to hardware product development.
• Ability to support design validation through measurements, simple calculations, and documentation of test results.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in consumer hardware, beverage technology, and hands-on prototype and lab work.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and quality standards.
