About the Role
Mittal & Associates is seeking an intellectually curious, dynamic, and driven Junior Associate eager to build a career in litigation and dispute resolution. This role is for young legal professionals with an appetite for continuous learning, proactive ownership, and readiness for substantive courtroom and chamber responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting civil suits, commercial plaints, written statements, writ petitions, trademark oppositions/rectifications, interlocutory applications, and legal notices.
- Conduct thorough case law and statutory research using primary databases (SCC Online, Manupatra) to formulate case theories, compile case digests, and prepare senior briefs.
- Assist during hearings and attend proceedings before the Delhi High Court, District Courts, Commercial Courts, NCLT, and the Trade Marks Registry.
- Track daily cause lists, manage court filings and procedural compliances, index briefs, and coordinate with registry officials and clients.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Internship/Clerkship: Significant judicial clerkship experience or substantive litigation internships during law school will be considered.
- Location Preference: Candidates residing in or within commuting distance of North Delhi (e.g., Shalimar Bagh, Pitampura, Rohini, Model Town, Civil Lines).
- Databases: SCC Online, Manupatra.
Qualifications
- LL.B. / B.A. LL.B. from a recognized institution.
- Enrolled or eligible for enrollment with the Bar Council.
