About the Role

City National Bank’s Capital Markets Division (“CNBCM”) utilizes a market research and analysis-driven advisory approach to deliver customized solutions for clients across its Loan Syndications, Foreign Exchange Sales, Interest Rate Risk Management Sales, Global Trade and Supply Chain Finance, and Global Markets Trading & Risk businesses.

What You Will Do

As a Summer Analyst within CNBCM, you will gain hands-on experience across several lines of business by participating in a 10-week rotation program. This program is designed to provide a strong talent pipeline for the Division and offers motivated undergraduate students the opportunity to develop their financial and business acumen by rotating through the following areas:

• Foreign Exchange Sales:
• Research key economic/political developments.
• Provide the sales desk with support and market information to help clients manage international financial management.
• Global Trade and Supply Chain Finance:
• Analyze global markets, financial institutions, and corporations.
• Assist in the structuring and sales of working capital solutions focused on improving the financial health of supply chains.
• Learn about different types of risk involved in trade and tools used to protect clients in domestic and cross-border transactions.
• Loan Syndications:
• Gain exposure to structuring, pricing, marketing, and syndicating the bank’s largest and most complex transactions across a variety of sectors, credit facilities, and transaction types.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• At least 18 years old.
• Enrolled in a college/university working towards a Bachelor’s degree.
• Graduation date of May/June 2028.

Compensation

• This role is non-exempt.
• The hourly rate is $45/hr.
