About the Role

This is an Associate position at Axtria - Ingenious Insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements gathering and research, propose technology solutions, and develop solutions within agreed upon timelines.
• Understand the underlying data and flow of data.
• Design, implement, and support data warehousing.
• Implement business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies.
• Define user interfaces and functional specifications.
• Design and implement OLTP and OLAP data models.
• Build ETL pipelines with the ability to implement complex business rules.
• Evaluate, design, and maintain multiple database environments.
• Identify data sources, construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams, and document the process.
• Write code for database access, modifications, and constructions, including stored procedures and database server configuration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
• Resolve performance issues by examining query plans, creating appropriate indexes, resolving deadlocks, and creating table hints.
• Work closely with other IT teams, including Analysts and Product Managers, to troubleshoot, modify, and enhance existing BI assets.
• Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.
• Implement SDLC processes, including creating STTM documents, system design, code reviews, deployment plans, enhancements, and status reporting.
• Client engagement, including requirements management and user acceptance.
• Provide hypercare and production support for implemented data engineering solutions.
• Conduct impact assessments, incident/problem management, and change request estimation and implementation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Well versed with SQL and PL/SQL.
• Ability to create, debug, and optimize stored procedures / SQL statements.
• Experience with Pharma.

Qualifications

• Trained or hands-on exposure to Gen AI technologies is a plus.
• Some working exposure to data governance / MDM / BI tools is desirable.
